The translation of texts with DeepL must first be integrated into your own DeepL account.

This works at project level, just like the integrations to social media, etc.

Administration > Projects > Select project and click “Edit” > Integrations > Select DeepL and go through the authentication process.

If the integration was successful, the “DeepL” field will appear in the editor on the right-hand side.

There are now 2 options:

Simple translation of a text.

For this, there only needs to be text in the editor. This serves as the basis for translation. The language into which the translation is to be made depends on the language of the ticket itself. The translation then overwrites the original text.

Translation of a text - as a new language version.

If a content type has the multilingual option activated (to be able to manage several languages in one ticket), it can also be translated without losing / overwriting the original text. The text in the editor is again the basis for the translation. By clicking on the DeepL button, you can then select a language to be translated into. contentbird then creates the translation in the corresponding language version.

Don't have a DeepL Pro account? No problem. You can create a free account via: https://www.deepl.com/en/pro#developer and then use it for the integration.
