Overview
With the LinkedIn integration, you can publish content directly from contentbird to LinkedIn. Both company pages and personal profiles can be connected. The exact range of features depends on the respective LinkedIn target and is partly determined by the API.
Features & Capabilities
You can publish posts as text, image, video, link or document (PDF). A classic multi-image carousel is currently not supported, but can be replicated using a PDF as an alternative.
For company pages, advanced features such as audience targeting, @mentions of companies, and control of the comment function are available. The first comment can also be set.
For personal profiles, many of these features are also possible, however without targeting and with further API-related limitations.
New features (2026)
With the latest update you can now select a thumbnail and pin the first comment, giving you more control over the appearance and interaction of your posts.
Connecting profiles & steps
Navigation in contentbird:
Management → Projects → Select project → Open Social Profiles tab → Select or add a profile group → Manage integrations → Select LinkedIn
Important:
Keep contentbird open in one browser tab and LinkedIn in a second tab. This allows you to connect profiles quickly and without entering a password in contentbird.
Steps:
Log in to LinkedIn with the account you want to connect
Switch to contentbird and connect the profile – no password entry required
Grant contentbird access and select the desired company page or profile
Save your selection
Switch back to LinkedIn, log out and repeat the process for additional profiles
💡 Tip for multiple profiles: After each connection, log out of LinkedIn and log in with the next account before connecting the next profile in contentbird.
Notes
The connection expires after 365 days and must be renewed once at that point
The connection can apply across projects
