Overview

The LinkedIn integration allows you to publish content directly from contentbird to LinkedIn. You can connect both company pages and personal profiles. The exact range of features depends on the selected LinkedIn target and is partly defined by the API.

Features & Capabilities

In general, you can publish posts as text, image, video, link, or document (PDF). A classic multi-image carousel is currently not supported, but it can be represented as an alternative via a PDF.

For company pages, you have access to advanced features such as audience targeting, @mentions of companies, and control over the comment function. You can also set the first comment. Many of these features are also available for personal profiles, but without targeting and with additional API-related limitations.

New Features (since March 31, 2026)

With the update, you can now select a thumbnail and pin the first comment. This gives you more control over the presentation and interaction of your posts.

Connection & Notes

The connection is established via a LinkedIn account with access to the desired page or profile. Once connected, the features are available directly within the tool.

Navigation in contentbird

Management → Projects → Select project → Open Integrations tab → Select LinkedIn and start connection

Steps

  • Log in with your LinkedIn account

  • Grant contentbird access

  • Select one of the available company pages

  • Save your selection

Please note that the connection may apply across multiple projects and must be renewed regularly (every 365 days).

Conclusion

The LinkedIn integration enables efficient social publishing directly from contentbird. Company pages offer the most comprehensive feature set, while personal profiles can be used with certain limitations.
