What is AI Knowledge?

Written by Sophia Siddig

AI Knowledge is the memory of the AI Content Brain. Here you set up, once, everything contentbird should know about you – and AI Chat automatically draws on it with every request. You don't have to re-explain to the AI, in every prompt, how you write or who you're addressing.

What can I store here?

  • Personas and target audience descriptions

  • Briefings and topic planning

  • Tone of voice and guidelines

  • Do's & don'ts

  • Technical expertise

  • Design specs (e.g. colors & fonts as a file)

  • External sources like Notion (connected via MCP)

Each building block can be activated for specific content types or applied globally to all of them.

How do I actually build up AI Knowledge?
You have three ways to do this – and they can be combined:

  • Generate it with AI: contentbird automatically extracts knowledge information from your website (e.g. tone of voice, company info, products) and adds it directly to your AI Knowledge.

  • Upload documents: PDFs, texts, and other files (e.g. existing guidelines or style guides) can be uploaded directly and are then available to the AI as knowledge.

  • Connect a knowledge base: Via an MCP connector (e.g. Notion), you connect an external knowledge base – changes there flow in automatically as up-to-date context, without you having to duplicate content manually.

New knowledge takes effect immediately in the next AI interaction.

Does it keep evolving?
Yes – over time, AI Knowledge will keep enriching itself through your usage, instead of staying static.
