Introduction

The content pipeline is the central workspace for all content that is already in production. Here, you manage content tickets, track their current status, and coordinate tasks within your team.

Function Overview

The content pipeline displays all active content that has moved from the idea phase into actual production. Each content ticket contains key information such as status, timeline, responsibilities, and other project-specific data.

Content is presented in a clear table view and can be organized using various criteria, such as:

  • Title, content type, story, and topic

  • Persona and customer journey phase

  • Status (e.g., briefing, in progress, or approval)

  • Due date and responsible persons

  • Custom fields created within your project

If you use custom fields, they will automatically appear as additional columns in the pipeline. By default, new fields are displayed on the far right but can later be moved or hidden in the view.

Usage and Setup

Edit multiple items at once

If you want to edit multiple pieces of content simultaneously, you can use bulk actions. To do this, select multiple content tickets in the pipeline. An action menu will then appear at the bottom of the table with various options.

Available actions include:

  • Deleting content

  • Exporting content

  • Applying the AI Assistant to multiple tickets at once

  • Making project-related changes

  • Making non-project-related changes

Important distinction:

  • Project-related changes affect fields directly linked to a project, such as:

    • Author

    • Persona

    • Topic

    • Story

  • Non-project-related changes refer to general ticket properties, such as:

    • Status

    • Due date

    • Custom fields

For project-related changes, an active global project filter must be set to ensure the correct project data is loaded.

Export content

You can export content from the content pipeline in two ways:

  • CSV export – ideal for overviews or reporting

  • Word export – includes the full editor content of the tickets, including the complete text

Customize the pipeline view

You can customize how the pipeline is displayed. Using the column icon in the top right, you can:

  • Show or hide columns

  • Change the column order via drag-and-drop

Additionally, you can use filters to display specific content and save customized views.

Conclusion

The content pipeline is the operational core of your content workflow in contentbird. It helps you manage content in a structured way, coordinate tasks within your team, and maintain a clear overview of the current status of your content production at all times.
