Overview
If a Google account cannot be reconnected to contentbird, it is usually due to existing permissions stored in the Google account. These need to be reset once.
Solution: Reset access permissions
1. Log in to your Google account
Sign in to the affected Google account and open the security section:
👉 “Security” / “Manage your account security”
2. Remove contentbird access
Navigate to Security → Third-party apps with account access
Find contentbird in the list
Remove the existing permissions
3. Reconnect the account
Go back to contentbird
Restart the integration process
Connect your Google account again as usual
Background
Google stores existing app connections.
If these connections were not properly removed, issues can occur when trying to reconnect.
👉 Manually removing access fully resets the connection.
Best practices
Always disconnect integrations properly (ideally directly in contentbird)
Use a central Google account for integrations
Regularly review active app permissions in your Google account
Conclusion
By removing contentbird access in your Google security settings, you can quickly resolve connection issues and successfully reconnect your account.
