#AI-Assistant #GPT-5.4 #Settings #LanguageModel #Update
The AI assistant in your system now uses GPT-5.4 by OpenAI as its default model – the more powerful, up-to-date option. If you're not happy with the results, you can switch back to the previous model at any time. This article explains what changed and where to find the setting.
Feature explanation
What changed?
Until now, GPT-4.1 was the default model for the AI assistant. With this update, GPT-5.4 becomes the new default – automatically active for all users, no manual action required.
What's the difference?
GPT-5.4 is the newer generation and delivers better results in many areas – for example with complex texts, summaries, or creative tasks. GPT-4.1 remains available and can be selected manually at any time.
The plan is to connect additional models over time – including providers beyond OpenAI. For now, GPT-5.4 and GPT-4.1 are available.
How to use it
How to switch the model

Click "Save" – the change takes effect immediately
The setting applies system-wide. Once saved, the AI assistant will use the newly selected model for all subsequent requests.
Use case
When does switching models make sense?
GPT-5.4 recommended for
Complex texts, creative content, nuanced summaries
GPT-4.1 as an alternative
If previous outputs worked better for your use case or consistency matters more
Summary
The new default model GPT-5.4 delivers better results in most cases – no action needed to benefit from it. Anyone who prefers to stick with GPT-4.1 can switch back at any time via settings. The infrastructure for additional models is already in place.
