Introduction
The Meetings tab is a new area within Strategic Topic Planning in contentbird. It connects your editorial meetings directly to the relevant topics and stories. Previously, editorial meetings mostly happened without a fixed link to topic planning – now both are connected within the same system. This article explains what the Meetings tab does and how to use it.
Feature Overview
In the Meetings tab, you create your editorial meetings, link them to topics and stories, and keep track of participants and status.
Meeting details: Name, date, time, duration, location (e.g. a Zoom link or meeting room), and a freely formatted description (e.g. agenda items)
Topic reference: Topics and stories can be attached directly to a meeting
Participants: Added per meeting; their status – e.g. Accepted or Pending – is visible
Attachments & comments: Files can be attached, and the team can discuss the meeting directly in the comment section
Status overview: Meetings are tracked as Planned, Completed, or Cancelled, each with a count per category
Usage and Setup
Go to Planning → Strategic Topic Planning → "Meetings" tab
Click "+ Create meeting" in the top right
Fill in the creation dialog:
Name of the meeting
Topics and Stories to be discussed
Date, Time, and Duration (in minutes)
Location (e.g. Zoom link or meeting room)
Description, e.g. agenda items
Confirm with "Create"
Open a meeting via "Details" to see participants and their status, upload attachments, or leave comments
Track your meeting's status in the overview: Planned, Completed, or Cancelled
No separate settings or permissions are required for the Meetings tab – the general visibility of Strategic Topic Planning applies (admins, managers, and authors).
Use Cases
Preparing an editorial session: Attach topics, stories, and an agenda in the description beforehand so all participants have the context right away.
Tracking attendance: See each participant's status (e.g. Accepted/Pending) to know who has already confirmed.
Follow-up: Afterward, check which topics were discussed in past meetings, including attachments and comments.
Planning overview: Use the status overview to see which meetings are still upcoming, completed, or cancelled.
Summary
The Meetings tab brings your editorial work and topic planning together. Meetings are no longer isolated but directly linked to the relevant topics and stories – including participant status, attachments, and comments for more context and traceability across the team.
