The copy function for content is called "Duplicate" in contentbird. A duplicate of the original content is created - which information is taken over or adjusted can be set.

The function can be found in the content pipeline before the corresponding content:

After clicking, the familiar mask for creating content opens and the familiar settings can be made:

( 1 ) The title is given the suffix (copy) so that the content can be distinguished from the original.

(2) A different project can now be selected under Project. This is no longer possible later in an existing content!

By default, the following information is included in the duplicate:

  • briefing

  • The latest version of the content => visible in reference mode by the green tick:

At the end of the input mask there are further options:

( 1 ) If the project has workflows, the desired one can be selected here.

( 2 ) If the last content version is also to be transferred to the content editor, this checkbox must be activated.

( 3 ) Activating this checkbox ensures that the content of your own elements is transferred to the duplicate.

Content duplication also plays a crucial role in content translation.

So if "duplicate" is pressed on a social post, the following option appears in the lightbox:

When a social post is copied, we cache it as a draft.
