Introduction

The dashboard is the homepage you see after logging into contentbird. It provides a central overview of all content, tasks, and deadlines relevant to you. The view works across projects and can be customized individually, allowing you to immediately see which tasks are upcoming and which content is planned.

Feature Overview

The dashboard consolidates key information from different projects. At a glance, you can see which tasks are assigned to you, which content is scheduled in the editorial calendar, and which steps in the workflow are currently pending.

By default, the dashboard consists of three main areas:

My Calendar

In the calendar, you can see all planned content from the projects you are involved in. This helps you keep track of upcoming publications and scheduled content without switching to the planning view.

My Tasks

This section displays tasks that have been manually created within a content ticket and assigned to you. Typical examples include tasks like “Proofread text” or “Select visuals.”

Workflow Tasks

Workflow tasks are automatically generated within a defined process. These include steps such as “Create briefing” or “Approve text.”

Important distinction:
Manual tasks are created directly within a content ticket, while workflow tasks are generated automatically based on the predefined workflow.

Getting Started

FAQ videos are available covering the most important settings to help you work efficiently.

Using and Customizing the Dashboard

You can customize the dashboard at any time to match your way of working. Simply click on “Edit Dashboard” in the top right corner. There, you have several options:

  • Show or hide individual widgets

  • Rearrange widgets

  • Adjust the size of widgets

This allows you to configure your dashboard so that only the areas relevant to your daily work are displayed.

In addition, you can filter tasks and deadlines using various criteria, such as:

  • Time period (e.g., today, overdue, or next 7 days)

  • Completed or open tasks

  • Task status

  • Projects (depending on the global project filter)

With these filters, you can quickly identify which tasks have priority and which content is about to be published.

Conclusion

The dashboard is your personal command center in contentbird. It clearly brings together tasks, deadlines, and responsibilities from different projects in one place. This helps you organize your daily content work efficiently and jump directly into the relevant content tickets to continue working.
