Introduction

To use contentbird, you log in via your organisation's individual login page. Each customer receives their own login URL, which all users of the organisation use to access the platform.

How it works The contentbird login page is set up as a personal subdomain. The name of this subdomain is defined individually for each organisation.

The login URL always follows this structure: https://COMPANYNAME.mycontentbird.io

You can log in using your personal credentials. Your login URL and password are usually sent to you by email as soon as your user account has been set up.

We recommend saving the login page directly as a bookmark in your browser so you can access it quickly at any time. If you no longer know your password, you can easily request a new one using the password reset function.

Usage and steps

Here's how to log in to contentbird:

  1. Open your organisation's login URL in your browser.

  2. Enter your email address and password.

  3. Click Login to access your contentbird dashboard.

After successfully logging in, you will be automatically redirected to the platform's home page.

πŸ” Single Sign-On (SSO)

In addition to the classic login, you can also log in to contentbird via Single Sign-On (SSO) – either using your existing Google or Microsoft account, with no separate password required.

Important note for administrators and IT:

The SSO connection runs directly via the Google or Microsoft login and is not set up within contentbird, but on your side. If the SSO login is not working, please check in your admin console whether login for external apps is permitted:

  • Google Workspace: Admin Console β†’ Security β†’ API Controls β†’ check whether external apps are allowed

  • Microsoft 365: Azure Active Directory β†’ Enterprise Applications β†’ check whether external app access is permitted

⚠️ Some password managers (e.g. Dashlane) automatically detect SSO and attempt to log in via it – even if SSO has not yet been configured. This can block the login for all users. Please make sure the settings are correctly configured before SSO is used.

πŸ“§ Two-Factor Email Authentication (2FA)

As an administrator, you can additionally activate two-factor email authentication. Users will then receive a verification code by email as a second security step when logging in.

Setup:

  1. Log in to contentbird as an admin

  2. Settings β†’ [add path]

  3. Enable "Activate two-way email authentication"

Note: This setting applies to all users in the organisation.

If login is not working

  1. The email address is incorrect – If the email address entered does not match your user account, an error message will appear.

  2. The password is incorrect – You will receive the message "Email or password incorrect". In this case, you can request a new password.

  3. The login URL is incorrect – If you enter an incorrect or non-existent login URL, the message "Link not found" will appear.

Summary

To access contentbird, you always need your organisation's individual login URL and your personal credentials. If you are having trouble logging in and these steps don't help, please contact your company administrator or contentbird support.
