Introduction
With the DeepL integration, you can automatically translate texts directly within the contentbird editor—quickly, efficiently, and without switching tools.
1. Set up the integration
Before using DeepL, you need to connect your account:
📍 Administration → Projects → Select project → Edit → Integrations → DeepL
Steps:
Start the authentication process
Connect your DeepL account
👉 Once connected, the DeepL panel will appear on the right side of the editor.
2. Translation options in the editor
DeepL in AI Chat, Assistant and Agents
You can also translate content directly via prompt using DeepL. Simply write “Translate with DeepL” in your prompt in the AI Chat, the AI Assistant or an agent’s instructions.
DeepL glossary
A glossary ensures your technical terms are always translated consistently. You select the glossary in the DeepL integration under Project → Integrations. Alternatively, you can select it directly when translating content.
After successful integration, you have two options:
Option 1: Simple translation (overwrite)
Text is already in the editor
Language is defined by the content ticket
Translation replaces the existing text

Option 2: Translation as a new language version
Requirement:
The content type supports multiple languages
How it works:
Source text is available in the editor
Click the DeepL button
Select the target language

A new language version is created
The original text remains unchanged
